Job Description & Person Specification:

Physically Trained performers wanted for new ensemble.

Babel Theatre are seeking expressions of interest from highly skilled, physically trained performers to join our new ensemble of collaborators in 2020. Babel are looking to change the way we make work.

Over the last few years we have created award winning theatre programmed by HOME, The Pleasance, New Diorama, Incoming Festival, BAC and The Guardian (A Nationís Theatre Festival), to name a few. We have done this with constantly changing cast members and creatives. In 2020 we are completely reshaping what and who Babel is.

We have welcomed a new artistic leadership team and are now seeking to meet new physically trained performers to form a core ensemble who will commit to training and creating together as we go forward on a new journey. We are looking to meet passionate performers with a desire to create multi-cultural, interdisciplinary work as part of an energetic and dynamic ensemble as we undergo planning and securing support for our projects in 2020-2022.

Applicants should have high quality training in physical performance or dance (degree level or equivalent) and have previous experience in devising performance.

To apply for this opportunity please email Joseph Lynch with the following:
  • An up to date CV and expression of interest.
  • A current headshot.
  •  Video links of recent or current work
We will be inviting successful applicants to take part in a workshop with the company on Friday 28th of February or Friday 13th of March in London.

The deadline for applications is 5:30pm Friday 21st February. However, we will be looking at applications on a rolling basis so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
