We are recruiting Freelance Facilitators Good Vibrations is a small but, internationally-respected charity, working in the UK. 

We use communal music-making to support people with complex needs in challenging settings to develop transferable life and work skills. 

We are most well-known for our use of gamelan music in prisons. 

We have partnered with 99 prisons, YOIs, immigration removal centres, mental-health hospitals, and community partners since 2003 to support 8000 participants, and there is a significant body of independent academic research on our work.

We are looking to recruit freelance facilitators to join our team. The successful candidates will help us to deliver our ambitious three-year strategic plan where we plan to double the number of people with complex needs we support through our work by 2022. 

Our gamelan courses in prisons and Young Offender Institutions will play a central part in this plan. On these courses, we will support extremely marginalised adults and young people to express themselves, perform, compose, and develop, team-working skills, self-awareness, communication skills and confidence. 

The aim is to equip them with strategies to manage challenging social and work situations and to empower them to see themselves and their futures more positively. 

Through growing participantsí tolerance and communication skills, we also expect to benefit their relationships with their families, peers, and staff too. Roughly half of the courses will be unaccredited, and half will be accredited with Discover Arts Awards and Open College Network Team-working qualification awards. We are particularly developing our work with young people and prisonerís families over the next three years.

The interview date will be 21st June 2019 We will then arrange a date and place for a practical exercise where applicants can demonstrate their facilitation skills.
