Job Description & Person Specification:

ROLE: Mission Facilitators - Designers and Makers
COMMITMENT: Part-time (week-long camps through out the summer - see dates below)

We are looking for facilitators with experience of working with children in practical settings, who are skilled in the following areas:

- Games Design (Escape Room style)
- Designing and making simple wooden structures including go-karts, swings and basic shelters
- Working safely with tools and equipment with 8-13 year olds, including power tools

MAIN DUTIES: 
- Deliver the Mission Flow to a group of young people from 8 13 years old, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
- Engage the group in designing, building and testing designs within the outdoor environment, drawing on your energy and imagination.
- Nurture teamwork and group dynamics, making sure that all children are participating, achieving their goals and enjoying themselves. 
- Lead by example in terms of safety and tidiness and respect for equipment / tools. 

EXPERIENCE: 
- Experience of delivering workshops / working with primary school children ideally in a creative way i.e. making, immersive gaming, live technology etc.
- Competent design and making skills 
- Experience of working with tools and materials with young people, including power tools
- Experience of working with tablet technology including a basic knowledge of AutoCAD 360
- An interest in the prospect of working in nature and the outdoors. 
- An energetic and playful approach with an instinctive understanding of what motivates children.
