Job Description & Person Specification:

Musical Moments provides interactive and stimulating activities that bring benefits to the elderly living in care homes, music is at the heart of what we do and we pride ourselves on the principle that music can bring a positive effective to the wellbeing of the elderly. 

The community music leaders role will require an effective communicator who can proactively run a session on their own whilst being able to effectively engage with every resident in the care setting. 

Job Requirements 

(A) Being musical minded and has a decent standard of singing or playing an instrument 

(B) An understanding of what working with this clientele in a social care setting involves 

(C) A desire to help vulnerable members of the community by promoting their wellbeing 

This role will require someone to be able to commit to morning and afternoon work Monday - Friday Typically 2 sessions per day 

This role profile is not exhaustive and may be subject to change to meet the operational needs of the organisation 

Applicants Must Be 

able to plan and lead a musical session for the elderly 

Have experience attracting and engaging with members of the public 

Be comfortable working with a range of people with varied illness and conditions 

Be able to work without supervision and use initiative when necessary 

Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information 

Enthusiastic and able to get others enthused and involved in music based activities 


Willing to learn as comprehensive training will be given on Job Induction 

Friendly, caring and understanding 

Must have a full UK clean driving license with use of own car 

Good rate of pay negotiable on experience Worcestershire based position
