Reporting to the owner, you will be full of bright and brilliant ideas, and you’ll be expected to deliver exciting marketing and communications to help develop our businesses into the future.

Day to day, you’ll manage the visitor services operations and develop our annual marketing plan to help achieve our ambitious visitor and sales targets, helping us to reach out to new audiences and markets.

You will also manage a marketing budget and, with the support of the owner, decide where resource is best spent.

The role includes management and generation of all printed marketing collateral, including the content and design of the annual leaflet, all visitor information and event flyers.

You will be adept at identifying opportunities to further raise the profile of Scampston and complete all relevant tourism award applications, to further build on Scampston’s success.

You will also be responsible for the efficient and smooth running of visitor services to the Walled Garden.

This crucial aspect of the role will include management of a dedicated team of seasonal staff, including staff rotas and training.

This will also include choosing and managing stock for the small gift shop, and ensuring this is correctly set up on our EPOS system.

Throughout the year, you will manage group booking requests and ensure seamless organisation of group visits – personally meeting and greeting coach parties, liaising with garden/hall staff, and ensuring the Café is fully aware of catering requirements.

Scampston runs a number of large events and you will be tasked with organising these, liaising with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring all set up is completed and staffing levels are appropriate.

In addition to your marketing and visitor services function, you will support the small team as the first point of contact handling wedding, corporate event and park event enquiries.
