Job Description & Person Specification:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced dynamic individual to join St George’s Hospital Charity as its Arts Manager to lead the Charities Arts Programme at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

As the star of “24 Hours in A&E”, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the best-known hospitals in Britain.

St George’s is also one of the country’s largest teaching hospitals, treating over 500,000 patients every year, and has an international reputation for quality of care and cutting-edge treatment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in collections management and curation of a significant art collection.

A high level of experience of participatory programming within the clinical setting and an understanding of its importance to patients. You will be experienced at managing budgets and developing artist relationships, giving direction and support to establish artworks, alongside hospital building projects.

Making use of your past experience and a desire to try new things you’ll work across different arts platforms to continuously deliver new arts initiatives. You’ll be an accomplished manager of other arts professionals including volunteers.

In collaboration with the fundraising and communications team, realise opportunities to the mutual benefit of both St George’s Hospital Charity and St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; as well as establish an integrated marketing and PR plan.
