Job Description & Person Specification:

The Multi-Story Orchestra is seeking a full-time General Manager. 

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver the work of one of the UKs most dynamic young classical music organisations. Currently resident at Bold Tendencies multi-storey car park in Peckham, The Orchestra won a Royal Philharmonic Society Award for an outstanding initiative to widen access to classical music and has given acclaimed performances as part of the BBC Proms. 

We are currently building a programme of work around the UK, supported by The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Arts Council England. We are looking for an exceptional General Manager to produce our performance programme in car parks around the UK as well as managing the day-to-day operations and administration of the organisation. 

The general manager will work alongside the Executive Producer and Artistic Directors Christopher Stark and Kate Whitley. We are looking for a creative, collaborative person who understands the challenges and opportunities of working in a small organisation, shares our passion for widening access to classical music, and who is at home delivering complex music events and talking to key partners, the orchestra and our audiences. 

CONTRACT: Full-time. This role is offered on an employed basis for an initial period of 12 months, with the potential to develop into a permanent contract

IDEAL START DATE: As soon as possible date to be discussed with successful candidate 

SALARY: 28,000 pro rata 

LOCATION: Our office is based in Catford
