Shipping Coordinator

Alan Cristea Gallery Contemporary art gallery in London seeks an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join a small and very busy team. 

Must be exceptionally organised, accurate, efficient, personable and computer literate. 

Responsibilities include arranging the shipping of artwork for frequent domestic and international shipments and related paperwork (shipping invoices, Intrastat, Import VAT, Proof of Export, Export Licenses etc). 

Also responsible for international art fair logistics. Occasional physical packing and lifting of artwork is also required, as well as keeping stock records up-to-date and some front of house duties. 

The successful applicant will have a flexible attitude with a high attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who has had at least three years’ experience in a similar role and has an extremely good knowledge of all aspects of importing and exporting artworks and is able to communicate well with people at all levels. 

An interest in contemporary art is desirable. This is a full-time role which includes working 10.30 – 14.00 on approximately one Saturday in three. 

Salary dependent on experience.
