Job Description & Person Specification:

The development manager will be directly responsible for supporting our projects co-ordinator in setting up projects with partners, gaining the funding needed to run them, and helping to evaluate ready to lead reporting back to funders.

This is not just a fundraising job – although it is the crux, you will be supporting our team to deliver & evaluate the projects so you can be involved at every stage of the project lifecycle.

We are a small organisation and there will be opportunities available to get involved in other areas if you desire, or to experience work with freelance practitioners and partner organisations.

You will be a part of leading the development of community arts activities in and around Diss (Norfolk), our Young Associates Project, Freefall (our touring theatre with/for young carers) and a number of other new projects.

Excellent organisational and communication skills are required along with a good knowledge of MS Office and strong budgeting skills. We are looking for someone with demonstrable successful experience in working with funders and managing both grant applications and earned income streams.

Experience in supporting the delivery/planning of events or cultural programmes is vital and experience and understanding of youth & family programmes is desirable. You will get involved in the planning & delivery of projects from inception to evaluation, and we welcome new ideas in addition to working on our current activity.

Some experience or willingness to “sell” the value of arts projects & young people’s involvement will be vital.
