Job Description & Person Specification:

This exciting role is a fixed term post for 3 years.

You'll be co-ordinating the Rising Stars Programme; part of the Curtain Rises Project at Seaton Delaval Hall, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

You'll work closely with National Trust colleagues and Northumbria University as well as a wide range of local organisations and communities in the delivery of the programme.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be responsible for the day to day delivery of the Rising Stars Programme, funded by HLF, working closely with colleagues in the National Trust and Northumbria University.

Rising Stars is an innovative programme of work which has arisen out of a strategic partnership between Seaton Delaval Hall and Northumbria University.

The aim of Rising Stars is to provide authentic skills development opportunities and hands on experience of work in the heritage, creative, cultural and community sectors.

It will also offer a range of placement opportunities and provide professional development at Seaton Delaval Hall.

The project will bring new ideas and ways of working to Seaton Delaval Hall and build stronger relationships by involving local communities.

As part of this, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with local organisations, planning and facilitating practical conservation work and community involvement, and planning and delivering small scale projects in collaboration with partners and students.

You'll line manage the Community Participation Assistant, who will be responsible for a series of creative residencies, events and activities, and support in the delivery of the Rising Stars and facilitate volunteer training, as part of the Curtain Rises Project.
