Job Description & Person Specification:

Ushaw, Durham opened in 2015 as a visitor attraction featuring unique heritage and culture and has attracted over 75,000 visitors to date.

A successful Resilient Heritage grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund is now enabling Ushaw to develop it’s team in order to review recent developments and consolidate, improve and extend it activities in the future.

We are therefore looking to recruit three new posts to help us deliver this exciting new phase of development:

Learning and Education Officer £22,000 per annum pro rata.

18.5 hours per week. Fixed term for one year.

We are seeking a pro-active and engaged person experienced within the education and/ or museums sector.

The postholder will be responsible for researching and developing a programme of workshops and activities for schools, families and adults to establish a clear education and learning offer relating to the Ushaw heritage site, buildings and collections.
