Job Description & Person Specification:

We are a fast-growing creative wedding and celebration cake studio. 

We specialise in high-end wedding cakes, celebration cakes and dessert tables, sold in Harrods and commissioned for royal weddings across the world. 

We have recently launched an online cake shop and are about to open a brand new cake school. 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, super organised and efficient individual to manage the day-to-day operations and running of our busy cake studio. 

You will be a motivated self-starter who can help our growth by providing not only excellent management and organisation, but also efficiently handling sales, customer enquiries and admin. 

You will have strong communication skills essential for dealing with a wide variety of customers, including HNW Individuals, and enthusiasm for customer service and the food industry. 

As we are a very busy team the role requires excellent leadership, time-management skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet short deadlines, multi-task and prioritise, providing an essential framework to the smooth running of the business. 

Your role will include: 

Operations management, including bookings, deliveries, and communication with the kitchen 

Answering sales enquiries by phone and email 

Taking customer orders for bespoke cakes, online cake orders and class bookings 

Chasing customer payments 

Communicating all orders to the kitchen and managing the class bookings 

Organising customer deliveries and delivery schedules 

Booking couriers and deliveries 

Paperwork for deliveries 

Arranging cake sample mailouts and any other mailouts / postage 

Ensuring smooth and efficient communication between the office and the kitchen

General office operational admin – such as insurance, various HR duties (holidays etc.) 

Required skills: 

Office administration experience 

Excellent organisation & time management skills 

Excellent written & verbal communication 

Strong customer service skills 

Microsoft Word and Excel Experience using Xero or similar accounting software 


Experience in similar role 

Experience working with a food, events or cake company 

Some experience in marketing & social media 

Experience using Xero 

Experience using Mailchimp 

Minimum qualifications: Graduate BA or BSC
