Stevenage as the first Newtown in the UK and has a unique history and story to tell, we have recently announced a £350 million first phase of a regeneration programme and finalised our new 10 year Cultural Strategy “Stevenage Re-imagined” which can be seen here

We have an opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join our dynamic team in a unique role as an Arts and Cultural Development Officer to, develop, manage and deliver a programme of work driven by the new strategy.

The successful applicant will need to be a team player and an excellent and persuasive communicator with a proven record of delivering successful arts and culture development within local communities and a proven track record of formulating and submitting successful funding bids.

We are looking for an experienced professional who has previously worked in similar roles in conjunction with national organisations such as ACE and HLF in developing arts and culture within the community.

To be competitive in the role, you will need to demonstrate a high level sector specific knowledge, skills and experience against our selection criteria.
