Job Title:                    Film Festival Coordinator

Employment Status:  One-year contract, Two days part-time, 9am 5pm

Salary:                          20,100 pa

Start Date:                    Immediate start

An opportunity has arisen to join London Film School as a Film Festivals Coordinator. The role will provide film submission and monitoring support services to LFS based in Covent Garden.

Working within the Library, you will ensure submissions are accurate and prioritise per the LFS Festivals strategy. Your role is to ensure screenings of LFS students and graduate films are accurate and updated in the database. You will also be required to travel and be an ambassador for the school at UK and occasionally overseas Film Festivals. 

Objective of Role

To provide professional, proactive and efficient administrative support for London Film School Film Festival presence. Working across departments, to ensure information is up to date and accurate, alongside building strong film festival, student and graduate relationships. Prioritise high standards of customer service for students, staff and graduates of LFS.


Main Responsibilities

         Act as liaison and main point of contact in respect of LFS operational matters for all film festival queries

         Build and maintain good relationships both internally and externally, communicating professionally, consistently and effectively.

         Ensure all new students and graduates understand library requirements

         To maintain strong relationships with the student and alumni body


Key qualities/qualifications/experience

         Strong administrative skills, experience of using database systems

         High level of written and oral communication skills

         Excellent interpersonal skills

         Knowledge of post-production workflows

         Ability to use common sense and initiative to solve problems

         Ability to identify and progress work priorities

         Ability to work positively, imaginatively and proactively to meet challenges and achieve results


The post holder will work to, and be responsible on day to day basis to the Library Manager and have regular contact with a wide range of staff, students, alumni and film festivals. As the needs of the organisation develop this role will change accordingly, therefore this document should be viewed as guidelines which are subject to change.
