Job Description & Person Specification:

HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT

This is an exciting opportunity to lead Arvonís Development team as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2018.

The position will be based at Arvonís National Office, in Central London.

Reports to: Director of Finance and Resources

Location: The post-holder will be expected to work primarily at Arvonís National Office, Free Word Centre, Farringdon, London EC1R 3GA

Salary: £40,000 Ė £42,000 p.a.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Interview date: Monday 27 November 2017

Purpose of the role:

To raise money from trusts and foundations, individuals and other sources to meet Arvonís vision as home of creative writing in the UK

Scope of the Role:

To lead on all aspects of Arvonís development programme, including strategy and delivery To foster a culture at Arvon that understands and exploits opportunities for fundraising

To provide effective leadership and line management of the Development team Ė a full-time Development Officer and a part-time Development Administrator (0.6)
