Job Description & Person Specification:

We have an exciting opportunity available where you will be a Senior Manager within the Chief Executive’s Directorate reporting to the Luton Investment Framework Partnership and Programme Manager.

You will have a corporate leadership role to inspire and facilitate the achievement of the Strategic Vision for the Arts, Cultural and Creative Industries which is seen as a key element of delivering the artistic and cultural ambitions within the Luton Investment Framework 2015-2025.

This role will include ensuring there is a close relationship established with the corporate commissioners for culture within the Public Health, Commissioning and Procurement Directorate.

You will also need to lead on the development of Luton Creative Forum, establish and manage the new Luton Arts Funding programme, support the submission of two major funding applications and develop and lead on the planning and delivery of a vibrant, exciting, challenging and high quality programme for a 2019 pilot that tests themes and structures for a subsequent City of Culture bid.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need in-depth Arts Leadership experience, proven experience of successful fundraising from a range of local and national sources and evidence of commitment to and passion for arts and cultural projects and programmes.

You will also need experience of leading a team with substantial skills and have strong project planning skills with a proven attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will need efficient time management, able to analyse and manipulate complex data, have the ability to audit and critique and review colleagues work and have effective interpersonal, presentation, facilitations skills and the ability to influence and persuade others to deliver results.

You will have the opportunity to develop on your already existing knowledge of relevant statutory regulations, guidance and policy relating to arts funding and best practice.

A relevant qualification or equivalent substantial relevant experience.
